Founded in 1860 by Abdon Béchade, Château La Grave Béchade is a magnificent property in the Côtes de Duras appellation. It extends over 120 hectares with 65 hectares of vine. In 1965, the property was bought by the AMAR family and the Château his now being run by the third generation of the family. The vineyard lies on the clay and chalk slopes of Baleyssagues and faces south. It is planted with Sauvignon (white) and Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon (red) grapes. At Château La Grave Béchade, we employ the most advanced winemaking techniques along with a continuous programme of research and development to enable us to maintain the highest standards. These go hand in hand with ongoing improvements and renovations throughout the property; with the purchase of the latest equipment and the creation of the most modern storage and distribution facilities, all carefully designed to take account of all environmental concerns.

2007 Beau Vallon (AOC Duras; 750ML – 12.5%VOL.)  [Red Wine]

Ripe cherry and cassis on the nose, medium-bodied on the palate, firm with balanced tannins, nice length and approachable.

2007 Sauvignon Jojo (AOC Duras; 750ML – 12.5%VOL.)   [White Wine]

Limpid yellow colour with green hints. Exhales notes of citrus fruits, slightly lemon notes good balance between the vivacity and typicity of sauvignon blanc. The finish is rich in fruit.

Les Vignobles Montagnac M Series

M Cabernet Sauvignon (750 ML - 13.0% VOL.)

Tasting: This wine has a very deep and dark colour. It is full-bodied, ample, solid and quite massive, due to the exceptional quality produced. Tannins are abundant without being too hard. Cabernet Sauvignon usually ripens lately when produced in the Mediterranean zone. But it always reveals a character of intense red fruits, delicate spices and a great sweetness. This wine can be enjoyed for immediate drinking; it will soften if cellared during one year.

M Syrah (750 ML - 13.0% VOL.)

Tasting: Originally grown around the Mediterranean sea, the Syrah give all its best when cultivated in regions with cold winters and hot summers. It is a very colourful and quite dark with plenty of aromas of crushed berry, violets, pepper and spices. The mouth is long, elegant and powerful.Balance between tannins and fruits is very elegant. This is a wine to drink with meats or spicy food.

M Merlot ( 750 ML - 13.0% VOL.)

Tasting: Notes of red black fruits, mouth filling, the long finish has hints of chocolate. Notes of cherry dominate on the nose and palate and a real freshness gives the wine good bite. The tannins are supple and their roundedness exactly what one expects from the Merlot grape. Delicious for young drinking, with its fresh fruit character.

After one year of hardwork, UVA Marketing would like to introduce to Singapore wine lovers one of the very important winery in Languedoc region in Southern France, Les Vignobles Montagnac. This winery is one of the very famous co-operative in the Languedoc region. She integrates many vineyards in that region for a common motto: "the terroir of the sea". This motto signifies that the Mediterranean weather (mild winters and hot summers) is nurturing the grapes of Les Vignobles Montagnac. Not only that, the soil which contains limestone, sandstone and granite makes the wine interesting and enjoyable to drink. The history of grape plantation in the Languedoc region can be traced back to 5th centry BC and Les Vignobles Montagnac is founded in the 1930s. However, this does not prevent Les Vignobles Montagnac from pursuing innovation. In the process of wine marking, Les Vignobles Montagnac honours time, traditions and land, but it also gives consideration to openness.
